Anthony J Aristei ('Tony') was admitted to practice in Western Australia in 1985, and admitted as an independent barrister in 1996. With over 30 years of legal experience, Tony has a wealth of experience acting for a wide range of clients and has provided advice and representation in over a thousand cases during that time. Tony has acted as counsel in numerous high profile or reported cases over the years (that is, in the Western Australian Law Reports, State Reports or various Federal Reports).

In addition to his practical experience, Tony is an accomplished legal writer. He was the founding author of the popular Nutshell students' text on real property law. He also published the first and second editions of an annotated commentary on retail shops legislation in Western Australia (in 2007 and 2010 respectively). In addition, he has written numerous Law Society of Western Australia and LexisNexis seminar papers (primarily in the areas of property, equity, and trusts law).

Tony is President of the Western Australian branch of the Anglo-Australasian Lawyers Society (AALS). AALS aims to preserve and promote the existing good relations between members of the profession in Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, providing social and academic functions for members.

Andrew Neagu joined Irwin Legal as a law clerk in 2014 and was admitted to practice in 2015 in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and in the High Court of Australia. Andrew holds the degrees of Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting from Murdoch University. Andrew primarily practices in civil litigation and dispute resolution and makes regular appearances in the Magistrates, District, Supreme and Federal Courts.

Andrew has experience in bankruptcy and insolvency, company, contract, deceased estate, leasing and property disputes and regularly practices in debt recovery matters at all levels (inclusive of registration of foreign judgments and enforcement of judgments within Western Australia). Andrew is a committee member of the Anglo-Australasian Lawyers Society of Western Australia (AALS WA) and a member of the Law Society of Western Australia.
